What YOU Want Matters

November 5, 2017

You are a new mom.  You have a new baby.  Birth was different than you expected or different than your last birth.  You may have some pain or maybe you had surgery.  You had an illness in pregnancy or you have a chronic illness. Your baby is needing more medical care and appointments than your first expected. You moved recently or experienced a lot of stress in the last year.

You love your baby and you have so many ideas and thoughts of how you want this next stage of your life to go.  But something is getting in the way of how you want to do things.  That barrier could be time or discomfort or something else.  You have no idea where to start or how to ask for the help you need.

There are lots of messages towards moms and families about what life SHOULD look like.  And then there are messages that it doesn’t matter what you do or that you don’t need to attend to yourself or your house.  Everything will work out.  You are strong and you are enough just the way you are.

And it will.  It will all work out.  And it does not matter if the house is clean or what you wear.

You are enough.

BUT IT MATTERS TO YOU.  What you want matters.

Not in a “everyone will judge me” matters but “it’s what I want” matters and “how I want it” matters.

You can’t do it all and can’t have it all.  But you can have some. MOM plus ME can help you feel successful in whatever is most important to you in spite of any barriers or struggles in your life.  Whether your motivation is:

  • Wearing makeup
